Chrystal Home consists of 2 homes (1 for boys, 1 for girls) in Taiping, Malaysia.

The Current Situation

Chrystal Home’s founder, Chantal Dorai, began fostering in 2003 with just 2 children. Since then, she has had to expand to two homes (one for boys and one for girls) to accommodate more than 30 children.

While the new rental home they moved into in 2014 is spacious, it continues to have problems, such as leaks throughout the house, rats chewing the new electrical appliance chords, flooding in the front driveway of the home when it rains heavily, and a mosquito infestation that resulted in Chantal being hospitalized with dengue recently.

At the present, Chantal is looking for a new rental since the current one is not fit. If you have a rental contact in the Taiping area, please get in touch with her: 016-548-0856

The children themselves are incredibly kind, respectable and filled with gratitude for her and all the volunteers who have come to know them over the years. Their manner and attitude is a direct reflection of how Chantal truly is doing all she can to be a parent, mentor and advocate for these children, but it is a full time job!

Some people just can’t contribute monetarily, but have skills to share and a network of resourceful people. Word of mouth is a powerful tool!! Please help us find sponsors and volunteers by posting this on your Facebook, Twitter, Blog, etc.

With your help and a committee of volunteers we can seek corporate funding, find sponsors to help build a home, as well as employ a bus driver and daycare for the homes.

FUN DAY at the Taiping Lake Gardens – JULY 4th, 2015

A group of 15 English Teacher Trainers from SMR GROUP volunteered their Saturday afternoon to do activities with the children, including: coconut bowling, singing, American/Canadian football, Spongebob water toss, bobbing for apples, and face painting.
